1971 Mach 1 429 AT power windows, Ac, rear defrost.......PURPLE!
I removed the carb today to fiddle with a stubborn adjustment screw, and the thin base gasket is cooked so I looked up a new one, thinking it might be better to get a thick insulator gasket. All the listings show gaskets between a spacer and the manifold, and carb to spacer. But I don't have a spacer. I found one on the net but since I work for Napa (not there today, obviously!) , I would like to order one locally. Any one use a 4300 with no spacer and/ or run an insulator gasket?

Thanks!

Thanks, Chuck! That is the only place I saw one.

The engine is a Thunderjet, not original to the car.
