The only two other full vinyl roof sportroof 71-73 with the same type roof and trim I have seen. The blue one is mine. The Hemmings car has an odd top band, but seems to have the same rear side trim as mine. it is not a glue on trim, but a real molded to fit the car piece.

The article referenced a 2 piece vinyl top, I thought I could make it out in one photo, but I'd have loved a few more pictures. A truly weird and wonderful car.

Vinyl tops were very popular dealer add-on items in the early 70's. Ford only did the forward-half vinyl roof for the sportsroof body, anything else is aftermarket.

I love the striped cloth seat upholstery, very hard to find in a car these days. Too bad he couldn't find a set of ginger deluxe door panels to bring the interior back to original.
