72 Coupe Firewall

Has anyone replaced an entire firewall assembly? I am installing a full floor panel but the rust continues up onto the firewall. Couldn't find toe boards and the only firewall panel that i could find for non ac was for a convertible. I inquired at NPD to see if it was only slight modification to floor to suite a coupe but they were unable to get any information.

Any suggestions?

The convertible firewall has the notches stamped into it for the inner rockers rails. You could fill those in with some scrap.

Dependins on how bad the rust is, cheaper option would be to get a toe board for a 70 and modify it to fit.

Thanks much appreciated. I was able to get the last one in stock at NPD NC. The original is in poor condition (I live in Canada so the car did see salt in its early years).

I used the dynacorn in my Mach1 and the fit was very good. Nice this was they had the top of the torque box included. I did remove it from the firewall so it would be easier to spot weld in layers.
