72 mach 1 on Ebay $59k...Too Wonky?

Everytime I look at the pic of the front-end I just see misaligned body panels, a tweaked/twisted urethane bumper, and crooked turnsignals. Even the headlights look like they are pointed in slightly different directions, but that may be an optical intrusion.
 
That same dealer has another 72 Mach 1, which in my opinion is even worse as it is a much less desirable H code car. It is what I would consider a plain jane car with A/C. It has a shinny new paint job, that looks really nice, but the interior seems to be all original and unrestored, hard to see the gauges as the plastic is yellowed and you can see that the interior has the typical Armor All resto. Engine seems to have been at least pulled and painted, but who know if it was rebuilt, nothing about rebuilt engine in ad. Also asking $60K for it...

I'll start; rear spoiler set too far to the front on trunk lid. Bright trim pieces that ought not be on a car with side stripes, are missing on front fenders. Louvers NOT!!

The rear window looks like it will pop out and take the warped louvers with it rendering the rear defrost switch available for a drop top! The engine and wiring are pretty jacked up as well and I am wondering if the blue overspray on the intake is course correct? Lastly, what is stuffed in the clock mount hole? 🤷🏻‍♂️

Ok, I still see jacked up wiring in engine bay and under the dash, the "joe racer" steering wheel is stupid, and the "caution fan" sticker belongs on a A10 Warthog.
 
unless I am missing something under the hood I do not see how the hood pins would actually work. Perhaps they are just fake, stick on pins.

It looks like the hood pins are attached directly to the radiator mounts, and too close toward the center of the mount at that. Someone really did not know how these Mustangs were put together. So sad. At that, that year Mustang did not come from the factory with hood pins even as an option. They had optional Dzus hood lockdowns that were twisted into a locked position, not a clipped pin style kit like the 69 hood hold downs worked... Very sad to see this Mustang butchered like this.
 
but the hood pins on the car in question are near the center scoops so how would radiator support work for that?????? I still see nothing in the engine bay pics that would work (of course never having hood pins maybe I don't know what I am looking at).
Ah, now looking at the under-hood photo I see what you mean re: "where are the hood pins?" Perhaps the (mis)builder got lucky and the hod pins are simply stuck onto the hood, not part of a kit that had holes drilled through the hood. That makes it look even sillier, even if preferable because nothing was permanently damaged...

The caution fan sticker is one of the only things correct about this car! It was from the factory on these cars except for the B351.

You can get them at any Mustang supply house, like Ohio Mustang Supply (OMS), NPD and there are others. Here’s a pic of my 72’s engine compartment. I tried to keep it mostly stock looking.

I have that same one you show and was asking about the oversized caution fan with the arrow because I've never seen it except on that second mach we've been commenting on.

Yeah I've never seen that one before either. I don't think it is a Ford sticker unless off a truck or something.
I had to really search that post on the yellow car to find the under hood shots.
It is by far the better of the two, but still not worth 60k, but some sucker will buy it.

I found some links that 80-83 vettes used the "caution fan w/arrow" stickers. Not sure if other OEM's did as well but it makes sense to me that the mullet boys back then needed to keep their distance.. and know there was a thingy there spinning fast to help keep the engine temps under control. 👍🏻

I had to chuckle when I looked at your second pic. It shows the cross-fire air cleaner. While also used on the Corvettte with the original ugly GM inlet tube, the cover was actually designed for use on the Camaro with a styled inlet tube. This was designed and prototyped by yours truly when I worked at Canadian Fram/Bendix in or around 1979/80. Here's a pic of it on a Camaro.

Rodger that, I was thinking you were thinking this "idiot sticker" with an arrow was only on the Boss which wasn't making sense to me.
