Today got engine bay, cowl in primer. Started with seam sealer. Will be undercoating tomorrow and hopefully spraying black on everything Sunday.

That shop looks like a mustang heaven, I had a white fastback like that in 1970 . Lol , was a hipo 289 4 speed. Blk interior . I remember it well. Paid $800 for it . Your moving right along, thanks for sharing.

I appreciate everyone's kind words. Me and my dad restored that fastback in 1999. I have my first car, 65 6cyl coupe that's very rusty sitting outside the shop. May get to it in a couple of months. But 4 other customers cars are in front of that lol. Did some mire paint today on the cowl and engine bay.

Got some parts in today from dynacorn for the Mach 1. My first big order since I became a Dynacorn. distributor. The floor pan and rockers are for a Camaro, but trading those for a 67 Mustang coupe project do I'm justifying have Chevy parts in the shop lol.

Been waiting on parts and working on some subassemblies and getting the fender aprons looking good.

Some updates. Got the the HVAC box shipped in, was assembled with all new NOS from all classic. Started stripping the doors of all trim, glass. Felt lucky and pulled the rear glass, luckily no cracking noises and no rust!! Rear bumper, lights, trim off. Start stripping paint off in the next day or so.

Also got the dash finished in the blaster. Ready for some little repairs and primer

Been a while since an update. Lots more sanding and stripping paint but we can see the light at the end of the tunnel. Unibody 95% done. Roof finished tonight. No rust there or on the drip rails or the window channels. The lead seams look great no cracks there.

Had to do some shop cleaning and reposition some cars. Got the cobra jet out in the sun for the first time since February when it was delivered.

Inching closer to paint! Driver door all stripped and resealed on the seams and the little bit of rust where the cowl sides meet the rocker is fixed. Finishing up the passenger side tonight.

Some pics of the finished driver side and progress on the passenger.

Been trying to save as much as the original sheet metal as possible. At some point there had been a fender bender in front.

Thanks for the updates. You are making great progress and it looks like doing quality work. Please keep the updates flowing. It is great to see another one getting closer to being on the road again. My car also came out of the Salt Lake City area originally. My long standing joke was that at some point it was parked in the lake. Mine suffered a lot of the ravages of salt either in Utah or sometime in WI before I acquired in in 1984. Mine came out of Ogden, UT.
