What's the issue with this one?

Not trying to be snarky, I'm just curious as to why it's a problem, since the back half of the carpet overlaps and has a finished "front" edge... so, who really cares what it looks like underneath (as long is it's all covered up, anyway). The finished front edge of the rear piece of carpet should line up right under the front edge of the seats.

As long as you didn't move your seat platforms for more legroom (like I did), it should all line up like it's supposed to.  Have you test fitted any of them yet? What am I missing?

Nice deck, BTW.  ::thumb::

So, who does make the best carpet for our years?

I too have ACC carpet, bought from NPD, supposed to be "the best on the block"!!

I was not that impressed with the fit or quality either. For now it's what I have, but I may change it IF I can find better. Mine was the Nylon loop and it is already "fuzzing" along the top of the door sill. It was installed in 2014.
An old detailing trick I used for the fuzzy carpet was to take a lit propane torch and wave it across the fuzz and melt it down. Looks better but will not fix worn out carpet. Just a trick if you want to make it look a little better.

It looks like a butchered up POS. The tunnel in the front is completely  off center, plus if I put this in, it will not come to the top of the seat platform, just butt against it

Gotcha.  I agree that the edges could've been finished much better, but cutting the whole thing short is not cool.  Once the carpet's down, smoothed out, and edges tucked where they're supposed to be, it would look fine - providing it didn't come up short somewhere, as you mentioned.

Thanks for the clarification.  Good luck getting it resolved.

Once I trim it, I own it

I am going to order from trim parts and see what comes

Guys I was a carpet installer for years. The is NOTHING wrong with the way the front is cut. I'm really not sure what you want the edges are loop pile. They will always look like that unless you bind them. Did you compare it to the original? IS it shorter? If that is the case I can see your frustration. IF it is not shorter then there is nothing wrong with it

I was referring to how badly it is wrinkled and deformed. However that may just be a visual impression. Mine was a mass backed so it was rigid and not wrinkled.

The way the carpet is made it is formed from a flat piece. Therefore the piece will deform over the mold. Since it will not shrink it will have wrinkles. A backing would help hide this

There was nothing left of the front carpet to compare

The front carpet stops at the beginning of the seat platform. The rear carpet stops at the end of the platform, theres a gap of uncovered floor(front of the seat platform)

There is no excuse for it being too short. I would ask them what the std measurement should be. If this is a 70 I can measure mine this weekend

Thanks David, that'll work for now, but I'd rather have the carpet last a bit longer before falling apart.

I just measured mine, which is with the two full length inserts. It measures 33" from the top (under the dash) to the finished edge of the back carpet. The front carpet is under the back by 1", making the front carpet 34" long. The finished edge is just behind the front seat bolts. Perhaps you have your front carpet up too high under the dash, which might account for it appearing short. It would not be hard to do as there is no hole cut for the shifter.

Hope that helps.

Geoff.
