Hello my friends

Today I've started to work on my Stang carb adjustment

I have an Autolite/Motorcraft 2100 D 2 barrel on a 1971 Mustang 351 Cleveland engine with FMX tranny

Though I have the manuals I'm sorry but I didn't understand well the carb adjustment

Can you help me please ?

The only adjustent that I think ( I think ) than I've understood were those one of the idle mixture, I mean the two screws of the idle mixture

I've slightly tightened the two screw till they were seated then I've loosened then with 1 and 1/4 round

Now how can adjust the following

1 ) Kickdown adjusting screw

2 ) Curb idle adjusting screw

3 ) Fast idle adjust screw (the screw near the thermo spring choke housing)

4 ) Diaphgram stop screw

5 ) Thermo spring

Sorry but I didn't understand well the manual

Thanks in advance

Your italian friend

Francesco

Hello Dallas,

Please Checkout these You Tube videos on the Motorcraft 2 BBL carburetors. They might help better with the visual aspect of adjusting your carburetor. Do you have an external Tachometer you can attach to measure RPM's?
