Blinker cams are a pain in the ass.

So my 71 coupe had a broken blinker cam. (meaning if i wanted to use the blinker i would need to hold it up or down.)so now i went through all the struggle of changing it to result in me blinkers not working at all. im gonna have to take it all apart and try again i guess. im not really looking or any specific advice, i'm more just writing this to vent. but UGH its irritating -_-

I haven't had much luck with aftermarket replacements, either. They usually require tweaking.
