Actually the gatling gun trigger is the rim blow steering wheel.

I pulled out the 00 manual Q gave me and I will quote from page 69 "Gatling gun switches are to be mounted on the steering column of 1971-1973 Mustangs, NOT the rim blow steering wheel as it was in 1969-1970 models, as the wiring connection in these prior models proved of insufficient gauge to provide reliable service. Rocket launchers may be mounted to the rim blow steering wheel if harness upgrades are included. Use of the upgraded harness to wire Gatling guns or M-2 Machine guns will result in potential electrical fire and unintended premature discharge of you gun."

I always try to answer questions on here with a "what would I do" kind of logic. This one was easy because that's exactly how I wired the extra switches on my car.
