Hey guys a friend of mine is wanting to sell his 2001 Mustang convertible. Its a V6 auto car with 93,000 on it. I can pick it up for 4200. NADA clean retail is around 7500. The drivers seat has a couple of places in it but over all seems like a nice car. I'm thinking about buying it for my work car . Whats your guys opinion?

Sounds like a great daily driver, especially a convertible. Our 2001 Bullitt has been trouble free. Replaced a coil once and regular maintenance only. You might be able to find a seat for a reasonable price if that bothers you. Price sounds right.

Definite improvement on the Saab! :D A new set of wheels maybe, and I suppose if you can live with the HP downgrade, you'll be OK.

I really want to look into swapping one of the new V6's into my Tbird, for a HP upgrade! and mileage upgrade...

So Roy, are you trying to do the "acquire each generation" thing? LOL

Sounds like a very good deal.

LOL that would make a 71, 2001, 2011 need another 91(used to own one, vert also) and an 81. Still pondering on this one, I would have to drive to Birmingham just to lay eyes on it and not sure I'm willing to do that just yet.
