1971 Mustang Coupe w/ 427 Stroker
Hello, my name is Alex. I am coming from Vintage Mustang. Great people over there. I got a lovely 1971 Coupe with a solid 427 Stroker with a built C4 with a shift kit rolling her along. She has a semi aggressive lunati cam and in the process of doing a EFI conversion and hopefully a paint job by the end of the summer. Also I got a brand new built 8” rear end center peice from quick pro performance. Really looking forward to that. She has long tube headers and runs true duals. Truly straight piped. I will post some pictures here with the wheels I just put on her not too long ago. I bought her with fox body gt wheels on. I put some magnum 500’s on by American racing. She is coming together.

My wallet is not in love, but I am. I forget how much it all cost when I turn the car on.

Howdy and welcome from Texas. Looks like a nice coupe with plenty of scoot! What color are you going to paint it?
Hey! Thanks, I am looking at a blue. The guy I am going with is going to give me some double black metallic racing stripes that merge at the front and certain parts of the hood there will be the word killjoy that reflects when certain light hits it. There will be small hints of red in there because I am going with a red light weight A4 Corbeau seats. Here’s a picture of the car the blue will be.

Welcome from Texas

I did the EFI thing with term X 4150 stealth

Tuning is not simple, but not to difficult . You are just trading the tools you use.

Yeah, I read you gotta ride a couple hundred miles to dial it in, but I am down for it..
Not just that you have to know what to tell it for tuning points. AFR base and timing. Most base cal wizard maps are more for small block Chevy and late model stuff. Older ford needs more tweaking.

Joe Simpson has a course I recommend

Tune the trilogy.

I like his style and he explains stuff like I can understand.

Thanks for the heads up! I will be using the Holley Sniper EFI kit. I will have to check out that course.
