Do you need the reverse gear shift rod or the reverse lockout rod as stated in the header of your post? The 7B112 rods in your illustration are reverse gear shift rods. I've noticed that a large majority of shift rods sold on different sites are incorrectly labeled as to their function.
The shifter rods are the same for the 71-73 351C and 71 429 4 speed cars.
1st/2nd gear: Part# D1ZZ-7328-A (Engineering ID# D1ZA-7328-AA or AB).... 12"
3rd/4th gear: Part# D1ZZ-7326-E (Engineering ID# D1ZA-7326-AC) 19"
Reverse Gear: Part# D1ZZ-7B112-A (Engineering ID# D1ZA-7B112-AA 16"
Lockout rod: Part# D1ZZ-7E330-D (Engineering ID# D1ZA-7E330-DA) 11"
There was a change 11/15/71 involving the 3-4 shift rod for the 72-73 4 speed Mustangs. The D2ZZ-7326-B rod was 27/32" shorter @ 18 5/32". So It is possible to see some of these on 71 cars as it was also a TSB part.
The top rod is a reverse gear shift rod D1ZZ-7B112-A (ID# D1ZA-7B112-AA)
This rod is the lockout rod D1ZZ-7E330-D (ID# D1ZA-7E330-DA)

Excellent tutorial on the various shift rods. Yes, I was looking for the lock-out rod. I found the original lock-out rod in the trunk of my 71 Boss and it looks like its been underwater the last 50 years. However based on the prices in ebay I will restore my rusted relic. Thanks again.
