When mine were little I did not have a vintage Mustang. I did have a 1969 Cougar Eliminator which they by far preferred to the DD cars. Chuck

They would love to drive the Mustang if it was just finished yet. But they can't wait and looking forward to get in for driving as I am too. The Mustang is in their minds for ever but hasn't driven yet since it ever was a restoration. They know it is something special. The only downside of a Mustang is that not all four children could ride at the same time with me, not mentioned the wife...
We found comfort in a '13 Challenger R/T in the meantime, though 😉

I put my 73 Mach 1 together with the intention was that my younger daughter would drive it to high school which she did. She of course got a lot of attention showing up in the parking lot with a big block four speed car and being good looking helps too from her mother I'm sure..... My older daughter will drive my Model a, but is intimidated by the mustang.
Thanks, Jay

My two grown kids (30 & 32) have always loved the cars we’ve owned and restored over the last 25 years. I always got into trouble when one was finished and sold. Now I have 3 grand kids and they enjoyed their first rides in PoPo’s “new” car on Sunday.

Time for new memories.

Three out of four of my sons enjoy driving my classic cars, sadly one thinks cars are as interesting as a pencil. The other three plan outings and road trips with their girlfriends (one now wife). I find it funny, they were all raised in the same house with classic cars all around and regular car show attendances, three of them caught the bug but one didn't. The 71 Mach 1 restoration won't be done until next spring at best so no one, myself included, has driven it yet, but we are all anxious to.

About 10 or 12 years ago, my son was 16, and he was getting to the age he'd be starting to learn to drive. I was talking with him about that, and asked him if, when he got his license, would he want to drive the Mach 1. He thought about it and said, "No, that's an old man's car". "Really",I said, " and what kind of car do you like?" My son told me he wanted a Scion. Good luck with that.........

Yes, my daughter loves all of our classics. She was upset when I told her I planned to sell the 65 coupe project.

My son studying in Germany loves coming home and getting some seat time. He swore he would never sell it if I still have it when my trip is over. 😎

She likes my classics, but meanwhile with 25 she would prefer a new Shelby! 👍

Or prefer the other car?
My kid has been driving mine more than me since we have kind of got it running. 😂. It’s a old beater that is very tired and had been sitting for 10 years prior to me buying it Labor day weekend.
He has been driving it to school the last couple days and has drove it around town a little.
He loves the dang thing. It’s almost time to pull the motor as colder weather is rolling in this weekend. 😢88818B46-79DC-4482-B96A-5D1E2B60418F.jpeg
