Emerg brake cable

I have a contact between my exhaust pipes and the emergency brake cable. What would you recommend for me to keep them separated as there some typical guide that I'm missing? The contact is approximately under the driver's seat. Im hearing some clanking around this area so I'm not sure if this is it but hoping this is the culprit.

It's likely that the cable needs to be tensioned more, as the end of the front cable is under the driver's feet.

I need to jack it up and take some pictures. My cables dont run exactly like yours as shown. Thanks for pointing out how it should be though!
