Even in Project status these 71-73 Mach 1 s look awesome!

As I have seen a lot of 1971-73 Mach 1's in searching for a project car(finally found one) I think that even without bumpers hood or doors and in need of restoration these cars have a unique stance that definitely stand out. The same goes for coupes and convertibles,what do you guys think/

I know what you mean. One day I was out sanding my 71 while my dad watched (he was the original owner). He stated, "you know I forgot how good this car looks". I told him he was right but he could not have it back.

They are great looking cars in any state of repair.

Although I was looking for a factory 4 speed car this car was soooo well optioned from factory that I could not let it go by. Its a 1971 M-code Mach 1 Auto red with black interior: It has factory air, rim blow steering wheel power windows tilt wheel,tach,sport deck rear seat Its a project and needs restoring and in primer now. I want to thank Rich (dragon knight) who went and inspected the car for me and gave me a positive report. Ill try to post pictures soon but dont know how.

I agree.. I like them much better than the 60's. Most Mustang guys I know dont think anything newer than a 69 is a 'real mustang" To each his/her own.

My fav is the 69/70 Shelby.

CG, it sounds like a nice car. I really like the M-code cars. What's the reading on the rust-o-meter? Post some pics. The Tinypic button works great.

I have a friend that is stuck on 40s and 50s trucks and was dissing my purchase until he looked it over...now he is excited about seeing it restored...the more he looks at it the more he likes it
