Funny but not so

I realize quitting time is quitting time. I respect that.

So I drive over to the closest auto body supply place to find some stuff to work on the interior. I'm thinking I'm about to drop some where around 200.00.

I was 3 minutes to 7 minutes late of closing. They close at 1 not 3 like I thought. The guy just looks at me like I'm about to rob him and turns away. I guess I was just raised wrong. I think I would been more courteous to a potential customer. Not meaning he should open the doors for me, meaning dont give the late potential customer a go to hell look.

Customer service has taken a giant step backwards lately in a lot of industries.

it started with the acclamation to the cell phone industry. another good example is a cell phone charger I bought at Radio shack. It worked for maybe a week, two tops. I took it back.

"do you have a warranty" :huh:

"no....didn't buy a warranty, do you not stand behind the product, its' two weeks old"

"oh if you bought a warranty we would"

"curious...how much is a warranty"

"20.00 for a full year"

" .... seriously??? you want me to pay 20 for a 29.00 product"

"ya.... wow that is such a GOOD DEAL"

"here you keep it"

I handed it to them and walked out.

They then turned it in for the $29.00.

In my experience good customer service people are hard to come by. Good technical people sometimes are not good "people" people.

I worked at a small retail light store. If you showed up 2 minutes before/after closing time they let you in and didn't rush you out. They are still in business.

I'd have bought another one. Put the bad one in the package and take it back for the refund.

I don't put up with crap like that.
