I ordered a gas tank from a Mustang parts vendor (not one on this forum). I ordered a kit with new strap bolts and a new sending unit. The new strap bolts were 1 inch shorter than the originals and the square head on the bolt was not 7/16 like the original but a smaller metric version. This prevented the bolts from seating properly in the frame so I couldn't use them. I then attempted to install the fuel line to the tank. That also failed as the cheap rubber line provided in the kit was 6 inches shorter than the original. I had to go out and buy new parts wasting more time. I eventually got the darn thing installed. It's just frustrating when you receive parts from big vendor that aren't even close to the originals. How the hell do they expect me to use that stuff? Just venting after an irritating day working on the Mach 1. Lesson learned...
