I have a '72 sports roof with a standard grill. I have 2 used "C" moldings, a new corral, and new upper and lower pieces.
Before I damage them (bend), how do they go on, and in what order?
They will slide on the tabs ok to a certain point. They will also clip on the tabs, although I haven't forced them on yet ( the long upper and lower pieces). I noticed that the long upper and lower pieces have different size curves on the backs where they either slide or clip on. I know this isn't rocket science, and is much less complicated than any of the re-hab I have done on the car, but I just don't want to bend or kink these flimsy pieces.....HELP..................
I actually posted this in another section and got no answers. I finally got it on by sliding it on, but it was a bch. Due to the setback of the grill in relation to the headlights and fender extensions, it took some persuasion to make them slide.
They WOULD NOT snap on over the little attachments, so sliding was the only other option. What was the correct way to do this?
