FOR SALE are the revised headlight water shields for HELLA H4 to LED conversion.
These are a direct fit over the top of the HELLA lamps and are universal. They can be used on any 7" headlamp regardless of the bulb type used. Due to the design of the 71-73 Mustang headlight bucket's top adjuster screw, it makes these headlights prone to water seeping over the lamps.
While these were designed and sized for our 71-73 Mustangs, these probably will fit other cars, makes and models.
Price is $30.00 US/pair and includes "NEW" Velcro Dots (3) to affix to the lamps.
Shipping info at this time is unavailable, but will be provided with order confirmation, depending on location.
A PDF will be available for assembly and will be emailed or sent in a "conversation" directly or by email.
PM or email me at [email protected] with your order, email address and shipping address.
Shields are made to order and delivery depends on location, but expect 10 days.
Thanks.

BUMP #4

If you really want to be able to see while driving your Mustang at night, this conversion using HELLA brand H4 headlights with 9003 HB2 LED bulbs installed, has proven to be a cost effective way to increase the output many times over to original sealed beam or even halogen sealed beam.
The HELLA H4 lamps still retain that original look that is so important to many of us.

However, there is a problem with these lamps fitted to our 71-73 Mustangs and that is NOT the fault of the lamps per se, but the design of the hood and fenders that allows water to compromise the headlight bucket area.

We DO NOT intentionally take our cars out in the rain, but we do sometimes get caught in a rainstorm and that is what happed to me and why, after finding out that water can get into the lamps, I decided to come up with a solution that is an easy fix and cost effective. "The Direct Fit Headlight Shield".

For more information and part numbers I used, please PM me or email [email protected]. PayPal is currently the best way to make payment. Cost is $30 US per pair, plus mail cost depending on location.

NOTE, these shields will also work on Cibie conversion lamps as well.

Seeing is believing! The HELLA H4 002395801 Vision Plus headlights (supplied with halogen bulbs) with Sealight LED H4/9003/HB2 or similar bulbs, provide almost as good night vision as modern car headlights at a fraction of the cost of some conversion LED headlights on the market.
However, as stated, due to the design of our cars and the fact that this headlight can get water inside should you get caught in a rainstorm (or even washing the car), as happened to me, I came up with a practical, easy to install solution that WORKS. Even with the additional cost of the shields, the overall cost is about the cost of just one Holley LED lamp sold by NPD at $215 US each. Two headlights for the price of one works for me! (based on a current exchange rate of 35% US/Canada)
As an added feature, I installed relays. These are not necessary, but they do improve the overall efficiency of the headlights and the interior lights. My choice was to purchase the components from Bill at www.HiPoParts.com and with his diagram, I was easily able to construct a tailor made relay harness that fit my car as I wanted. Cheaper relay kits are available, but buyer beware.
For more information, please PM or email me. Currently PayPal is the preferred method of payment from the US/world or e-transfer in Canada.
My thanks to those who have already purchased. I hope you're enjoying worry free driving should the sky's rain on you!
