1973 Mustang Mach 1
I wasn't sure where to post this but I have a 1973 Mach 1. On the rear floor near the mounting holes for the seat belt bolts there are two holes, one above the other about an inch and a half apart, on both the drivers and passenger side. I have no idea what the holes could be for, but I am thinking possibly for exhaust hangers. If anyone knows for sure any help is appreciated, Thanks.

If they're above the inner belt weld nut and in the shock crossmember, those are the holes for the factory muffler hangers.

If I recall correctly there are some holes in the tunnel that are there for screws and brackets that hold the fuel tank vapor lines that go from the fuel tank to the vapor canister in the engine compartment, you could be looking at some of those too, besides the ones for the muffler hangers.

Thanks for the replies, looking at the position and size of the holes I would have to say they are for the exhaust hangers. Thanks again.
