Holley 4160 secondary fuel bowl leak question

Hi everyone,
The "plug" on the secondary fuel bowl of my Holley 4160 is leaking.
This is not a component of rebuild kits
Quick internet search seems to say JB Weld will seal it.
Or buy a replacement fuel bowl?

Anyone ever deal with this issue?
Any thoughts/advice?

I personally would replace the bowl. I have a tendency to shy away from plugging gas leaks or using epoxies to fix them.

Wow, I've had a lot of these carbs, and never saw one leak from that spot. Looks like someone already tried to seal it.

I'd never say JB weld a carb, but I don't think you'll fix that without changing it out. JB weld may work, but it'll also look ugly. That's a beautiful motor you've got there.

If all else fails and you need one, I've got this sitting on my bench.

This was a pretty common problem on the 83-85 5.0 Mustangs. I used JB weld with good results. If you place the carb up on its side so the plug is facing up when you apply the JB Weld, the JB Weld will flow smoothly into the depressed plug space and set.
 
First i check to float level, the plug on the side of the carb is for that purpose to see if the bowl has fuel or is to high. The fuel level should not be above the bottom of the hole
 
Usual cause of this issue is too long a time in the carb dip, or possibly the modern fuels affecting the "O" ring. I've fixed it in the past by removing the plug, threading the hole and using a shallow plug. Have also plugged the holes the fuel transfer tube goes into, and made the carbs a dual feed.

The rear bowl can be threaded to match the front bowl, it's just a NF thread.
