I have a 73 H code car. It has the power steering cooler that was mounted on top of the AC compressor.
When guys are getting rid of the stock compressor in favor of a newer style compressor, or deleting it altogether, how are they mounting the power steering cooler?

Did any of them come from the factory with the cooler and not the AC compressor?

This is the factory PS cooler setup on my non-AC 1972:
Ok, so its a different part completely.

It is handy to know the thing can be mounted turned upright like that at least. On the AC cars, they dangle down, with the hoses at the highest point. I wasn't sure if that was allowed or not.

Yep, my PS setup is 100% factory

Perhaps this might help. This is the correct pump bracket for a cooler.
The top hole is threaded 5/16-18. The locate hole is about 3/8" dia and 2 1/4" centers.
