Make sure you don't under drive your power steering pump. I always hate it in my GMC (that has hydroboost) when I'm idling around a parking lot, hit the brakes and have the steering assist magically fade away for a second while the hydro boost accumulator fills back up.

Yeah, I've heard that as well as poss. engine stall at idle(?)  I don`t think this will be a one day perfect install w/o plenty of bugs. I am running a saginaw pump, stock did pulley, and will run a dedicated return line to side up pump. Do u think a larger remote resavior (s.i.c.) would solve ur issue?

 
It comes down to flow. I have a pretty ridiculous setup on my GMC that uses a big box with hydraulic assist. About the only thing that could help me out would be a larger pump. Even with the Saginaw pump I have it drilled out to 5/32" (largest OEM flow restrictor) and I have the pressure turned up a bit.

With a hydro boost system you can't stab the brakes in rapid succession at low idle and expect the power steering to be unaffected.

I have heard the boost can stall the engine at idle do to taking pressure from p.s. pump? :huh:

Nice, I am not looking forward to putting system on since I ran power steering lines remotely in outer frame rail. They come through bulkhead fittings to the steering box, which area also occupied by line lock, might have to remove hood and hinge to give my fat 300+ stomach working room lollerz  when all done, that corner of engine compartment will be more crowded that s. calif. freeways at 5 P.M. rofl :shootself:

 
Haha damn, I see that installing it can be a bit of a challenge then :D But I can imagine that it looks pretty nice if everything is hidden and are installed with bulkheads, do you have any pictures of that? I would really like to see it :)

Will try in a few days to post some pics. I am not sure to use the nice Teflon stainless lines they sent me or try to reuse my home-made power steering lines running through outer wheelwell. Got the unit all bolted up to firewall and brake pedal, plenty of shock tower clearance with baer master cylinder, at least 1 1/2 inches, perfect!
