I use the oil we sell for our Kawasaki general purpose engines. It's an SL rated oil with 1200ppm zinc and phosphorous. We have both 10w30 and SAE 30 at this time. Look for it at your local Kawasaki engines dealer. When you go to an SM rated oil the zinc and phosphorous drops to below 900 ppm which is insufficient for flat tappet cams.

 
I use to deliver Napa's oil to them threw NW auto.."and auto parts" For all napa store in my area....Yup usually next day delivery if you order it threw Napa and they dont have any local in hand...We would get the order that night and bring the oil in the morning from our warehouse.

 
Dude, NAPA has it in stock.

I have a fairly fresh rebuild too and i'm running VR1 for the same reasons.

The NAPA store a block up the street closed a few years back, now

the nearest store is 12 miles. It is easier to order online. I paid

less than $6 a quart delivered to my door. But I will keep that in

mind next time, NAPA.
