My wife and I are thinking of taking our 3 year old to Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri the last week of March and first week of April. I'm just wondering if anyone has been there and what they thought of it. I love to hunt/fish but not sure if it will be the right season. But I assume there might be some snow still.

Thanks..

Been there many times in my past, Mainly for boating, skiing, phenomenal rides in a Cigarette Top Gun edition boat, and parties. Sure there are fish in the lake, but I am unsure of the hunting in the area as everywhere I have been is populated with homes. Are you staying at Lodge of the 4 seasons, Tan-Tar-A, or Sunrise Beach? Or Renting a home? Plenty of Bars and party places depending on where you stay. Outlet Mall, Golf Course, etc.

LOL KC is gonna have you in a heap of trouble! :D cigarette boats, partying and going to bars!

yeah there are good fishing spots but since KC's drag line was a bit too fast the big bass couldnt keep up. you'll need boat to get to the warmer lower depths.

Thanks..lol. I don't think my 3 yr old will be bar hopping with me. This is a timeshare. Not really sure where it is..

TYPICAL fishing rules apply. look for the warmest spots where sun has warmed the water for a period of time from 10 -3 pm. a little breeze in the same area will give you the best opportunity.

Great area. I really don't think you'll need to worry much about snow. It doesn't stick around much even if it happens...

For more info you can always call one of the local resorts and ask to speak to the Travel and Tourism Director.

They always like to boast about their area and its better amenities. :)

Good luck.

Ray
