This is a link to a '72 mach 1 drag car build, its in french but you can get the idea. I found this car because its posted for sale on another mustang site im on for 6900 euros, or about $9600. Just thought it was interesting.

With the chrome and bumper and trim and standard grille I's say it's not really a Mach1 but rather a fastback with the NACA hood. :huh:

The blue car I think you are referring to is not a mach 1, its not even a fastback. Also it is a 1973 so thats the only grill for that year.

The drag car though is pieced together from a few different cars and theres no way to tell from the pics whether or not it was a mach 1.
