That's Colorado Mustang Specialists. You should see the rest of their lot.

BUT...

I contacted them by phone when I was seeking a quarter panel. $700 for the best quality from their yard, plus freight; $1,200 if they had something NOS. Sounded more than reasonable to me. Was told to email with my info, and they'd get me a quote. Did so, and heard nothing two weeks later. Sent a followup. And another.

That was about 7 months ago. I'm still waiting.

No wonder they have so much in their yard. Unless they improve on their service, they can bloody well keep it all too.

They supposedly had a B0ss 351 that they were selling in a flyer they sent out with parts I couldn't ever get a reply about it.

aww i hate places like that...there is a local one out here too..Sometimes people can get a good deal "i hear" but most get the run around.

I sure would love to clime around this place...Check some codes!! :)

I heard they are in Tennessee.
WoW! Where is.....?

I needed a part from Colorado Mustang once--a block plate for an early 5 bolt 289 block with manual transmission. They wanted $100 when I called. I was desperate as it was holding up my project. I was flying to Denver for business and carved out a bit of time on my way to the airport. Walked in, asked for the part, they rang it up, $35 later I walked out grinning ear to ear. Their store is in Aurora, the yard is somewhere in the boonies.

Someday, someone in your exact same position will call up and get quoted $35...and get rung up with an $100 when they show up in person.

You were lucky, but when I see a business with fluctuating parts prices, I consider the very real possibility that this fluctuation is due to sheer sloppiness.

I wouldn't be surprised if one of the big bosses got wind of my quarter panel inquiry and didn't want to honor the price quoted. Your personal appearance there probably flew under the radar. I used to do business with a bike shop that was just like that...

Even though the pictures are horrifying, the more they stack those stangs the more ours are worth! lol (which doesn't really matter because I would never sell mine. Maybe my kids will though when I kick the bucket).
