I am in Guadalajara Jalisco Mexico visiting my very great friend I consider my brother.

By using the Facebook network I have Mustang acquaintances in this area.

I have been invited to a big Mustang event locally today!

Last night was a cruise in at a local Ford dealer. Very cool. Great people with a lot of love and respect for Fords and Mustangs! I got to actually meet some of my Mustang FB friends.

This tire/ wheel combo looked very good on this nicely modded 73 Mexican Mustang

There are some VERY cool cars down in Mexico and I look forward to seeing pictures from the cruise and show. As Dave said the 73 Sprint editions are pretty cool!

I didn't see ANY 73 1/2 Mexican Sprints or any 71 or 72 GT-351's. I was sure hoping. But hey I am not done! Still trying to recouperate a little and get these pics posted to my Smugmug account so I can just share a link!

Ray,

Tequila will do that to a man slows you down some, lol. Enjoy the trip and be safe.

Ray,

What's the story behind the 68 green convertible that was unveiled?

A 73 Saleen Mustang??
The 68 conv and the 81-ish Mercury Capri were just two new members' cars. That is how they formally welcome new members to the club. It is a celebration as their cars are isolated/covered then into'd to the members. Different but kinda cool.

You mean the blue/white Mustang? The guy claimed it was one of the first Saleen Mustangs. I researched later and found Saleen only built three in 1984 but that car appears to be a 1983. :whistling:

Yeah I remember that one now. It was parked outside the drag strip area. Like someone had it but didn't want it in the show. I guess it was just someone's mods on a 73. Didn't look too bad IMHO. after talking to other folks about that car - he is not trying to pass it off as an original Saleen but more as a tribute to 'what could have been'. Just like modded cars up here...
