This was how I did my undercarriage blasting, paint and undercoat.

I was able to cut out much of the rotten metal yesterday. I still have more to come out. I am being careful near the rockers and to the front of the pans. The diamond blade on the grinder is like magic. I hope to have everything cleaned up and ready for weld in over the 4th of July. I have ospho for treating the metal after all spotwelds are out.

Welcome from Ontario Canada! Looking forward to seeing your restoration progress.

Regarding the draining of the fuel tank, you can force fuel out of the tank using compressed air. Insert your air blow gun in the filler neck, seal it with a rag. The air entering the tank will force fuel out.

I have gotten out all (I think) of the rotten steel in the floor. I did a dry fit today for fun. I will be using ospho starting next weds to try and treat as much rust as I can before the welding over July 4 week.

I am looking for a good source for weldable primer and think I will probably just use amazon.

I am still working towards "weldopalooza" over the week of the 4th..
Dryfitted the pans to the point where I am confident that I am gonna be in business.

Ospho and POR15 work is well underway...

Considering pulling the dash out now while I can stand in the car (no floorpans)...

I am having more fun than I thought I would
