1971 MACH 1 351 Q CODE

1971 mach 1 m code, black interior , 4 speed.

1972 coupe 302 automatic(c4) medium blue interior
originally Wimbledon white
~92k original miles
family owned since 1972 (from when it was 6 months old)
parked for about 28 years
Body/paint restored in winter of 2018/19
interior restored in 2020-2021 (still a work in progress for minor items/tweaks)

We have two 1973 Mustangs, One is a deeply restored Mach 1, which has a street/strip 351W that replaced its original 302, and a 4 speed AOD transplant, and the 2.79:1 rear axle is not a 3,5:1 TractionLok unit - very fast. The other pony is a true survivor that spent over 40 years in a barn, and has its original paint and trim on it - in perfect condition. It has just a little over 21,000 original miles on it. Both run as good as they look, and neither is a 20 footer, or even 5 footer, They are in near perfect condition.

73 mach 1 Q code 351 cj with c6 auto trans 2800 stall, and a shift kit

My 1973 Mach -1 Still sports its original medium bright yellow factory paint although a bit worn.
All body panels are original. It also has its factory issued Cleveland 351 engine, which has been fully rebuilt and
its refurbished, original C6 transmission.
A set of 4 Keystone Kustom Wheels and rear P 275-60s were added in 1974, along with shackles.
More recently, the interior was redone, and a 1970s 8-track player was installed.
The car’s audio is also bluetooth enabled.

With all the science going on recently I was curious as to the number of 71 vs 72 vs 73 on this forum. Please take the time to post up year and make. Believe it or not this will give a pretty good sample group as to the percentage of survivors vs the # produced. IF YOUR PROUD OF IT, POST IT!!!

2- 73 Q codes. 1 sport package automatic, 1 regular interior 4 speed.
71 BOSS 351

71 H Sportroof Boss 351 4spd Tribute
I have a 1973 Mach 1 fastback survivor that took 2nd place in best of show 2 weeks ago. There were over 130 cars entered in the show and there were a lot of cars that had big money spent on them.

Will be getting a fully built World Products Man o'war sbf 363 built for boost. Waiting on the motor. Parts I have a FB Performance transmissions 4r70w with manual valve body, TorqStorm centrifugal supercharger, aeromotive stealth 340lp fuel tank, holley terminator x max stealth efi pn 550-1015, aaw 71-73 full wiring kit, built 9" with 3.70 gears and Eaton trutrac dif.
Will be taking it to a shop to get the front frame rails and aprons redone from a decent but not quite right restoration done in 99.
Car was originally purchased by my grandparents in Nov of 71 and was my grandma's daily for years. I have the original dealership documents as well.
Was dark metallic green, but was changed to red in 99. Green pic is my dad with a girlfriend at the time. Red is me after picking it up from getting the rear torque boxes replaced and global west sub-frame connectors welded on. But finding places to work on it has been a challenge, wish I had the know however and patience to do the metal work myself.

73 Q original with original owner except 2nd top. Marti lists 1 of 1 with options. For those who have verts that want the tops to last like mine, I suggest washing with johnsons baby soap in the bar and a soft brush. I think it is the baby oil in the soap that keeps the top soft.

1972 Mustang (retro mach 1) Light Blue in color. Had a 302 with FMX and 8 inch rear, now has 351 cleveland 4V with a C6 and 9 inch rear.
