Awesome find indeed. 

I remember seeing a GT 40 in the mid 60's, on display in a glass walled "show case" at an Esso petrol station in Mosely, Birmingham. I wish I'd had a camera back then as it was the most beautiful car I'd ever seen and in Gulf colours The plaque that accompanied it described the aluminium chassis, which caught my eye. I remember staring at it for some time.

I watched this 73 sell on ebay. interesting selling price.  There are some good pics of the car all the way around. If anyone wants to see O.E configurations and such.
