OEM door speaker rebuild

Has anyone had their OEM door speakers re-coned? If so, what vendor if any did the work? Any idea where to find the cones? Thanks.

I bought them with the Ford spacer ring option which is the same shape as the original speakers. I stretched some black coarse weave fabric over them in place of the factory metal screen that covered the front of the speakers.

I also sourced a similar speaker as original and then removed the metal grating over the OE speaker. During judging the judge can look through the door panel speaker grill and see the original grating behind. I honestly believe going with a more modern speaker in design and materials offers better listening pleasure than rebuilding originals. I can tell you that judging does not go to that degree even in Thoroughbred as they cannot remove the door panel to verify anything.

Since my OEM speakers looked so bad, I 'fixed' the torn cones with paper towel soaked in fingernail polish. Hooked them up and bingo--both worked good enough for talk radio. Total cost zero. If they go bad, I will buy decent speakers! Thanks for your advice.
