Where does the oil dipstick tube attach to the block on the 351C (2V)? After I rebuilt the motor, I was anxious to get her fired up and forgot to install the oil dipstick tube. So I quickly jabbed it back in to stop the oil blowing out of the opening. It looks like the bracket should be bolted behind the alternator bolt (behind the extension). Anyone have a pic or could verify that?

Thanks!

It bolts up through the long alternator bolt right behind the spacer (on 302s/289s)

Been awhile since I really looked hard at this (although I'll be checking tomorrow), but I thought there were some water pump bolts involved.

But now that I think about it, those two water pump bolts were for two of the [triangular-shaped] alternator bracket bolts, with the long bolt being the third - having the dipstick tube sandwiched between the spacer and the head.
