From another board:

"Hey I have what I am guessing is a 1972 Mustang Sportsroof R-Code Sprint Edition.

Has anyone ever heard of this car that's willing to share information with me?

My father and I would like to start restoring his old Mustang, it was running when it was parked, it was properly winterized and all gas and antifreeze was taken out I believe. The only problem is that rats got into it and chewed up all the interior. It's got the HO-C engine and painted just like the Sprint and I think it also has the little flag near the back, 4 spd auto.

Any information would be appreciated, Thanks!"

A pic of the door and/or dash vin would also help to confirm. It would be bad to invest and build this as a rare, original car and end up with something different. -Or worse, to misrepresent the car to a potential buyer.

Q code Sprint - still a very rare and desirable car.

TommyK, cool that you and your dad can make a project of it.

Just to clarify it is not my car and not my Dad. I was just posting a link to what I thought could potentially be a rare find.

I agree with you that a Q code Sprint is a rare and desirable car. Just wish it was mine.
