Proper Air Cleaner stickers.

My 1972 Convertible was original with a 302 2V. I converted to a 4V. What air filter sticker would you use, a 2V or 4V? Also, does that year also have the Autolite sticker attached on the side of air filter or any other stickers?

Depends on how accurate you want to be. You can get the 'correct' 302 2V decal or you could go to the 68 J-Code 302 4V decal (orange and black, not blue and white).
Either way, I'd stay away from the yellow and black 302 4V BOSS decal. That would just beg for grief...

Your picture shows an aftermarket Sanden type compressor, and that compressor retrofit runs the A/C hoses different than the stock Ford compressor.

I put a 302-2V decal on mine back when the car had a 2 bbl Holley carb on it, but now that the car has a 4 bbl carb I would much rather have the 302-4V decal on it. My opinion is that if the car has an obviously different carb on it than stock then why not put a decal on that shows exactly what the new carb configuration is. The only reason I haven't changed it is I'm wary about trying to remove the old decal and possibly damaging the air cleaner paintwork.

AutoLite decal was not correct for 72' models from an MCA judging perspective. 71 did have Autolite decal and 72 was the transition year to Motorcraft. Front decal also was not a 72 decal

The problem with the OP's setup is the 68-69 housing with the 90° vent tube in the front. No idea if the diameter / radius of the 71 decal is the same. If originality isn't a concern, then the '68 G-code 302-4V air cleaner decal would likely work best.

I do believe the lids are interchangeable thru those years. Just need to measure the aircleaner housing. If it's the same, then even if the raised area where the decal is at were to be different, get the right lid.
I have a 68-69 air cleaner with the 90* tube that has a lid with the 70-71 351 4v decal. Both are original and aged. So, is the 68 J-code the same diameter?
