This is my all aluminum one I built years ago.  I just use my hood pins so no need for the latch to poke through.

That looks cool and finished.

i order the same one for my 71 didn't fit at all would not line up sent it back and made my own  and it looks and fits alot better than that one

Love mine. It isn’t a buy & bolt on piece. It’s cut to fit and took a couple hours to get exactly how I wanted it.
