Rear View Mirror Disassembly

I haven't spent time with it yet, but my rear view mirror no longer dims with the switch. When you flip the switch, you can feel a little resistance, but the mirror never moves. This just happened.

Can the mirror be disassembled to repair or am I without the dim function?

So the glass must come out. Ok, I'll check it out and report back.

Based on this video I started peeling the rubber away from the glass. It felt like I was going to break the glass, so I stopped. I will live with the non dimmer function for now.

Project for another time.
