Was sorting through some papers and found a document listing the
rebuild work on my engine. I stole this never fired rebuilt long block
from Don of OMS. Sitting on a pallet wrapped in plastic and soaked in
machine oil is how it arrived. The work was done by Extreme Machine
& Performance in Georgetown Texas in 2005. They discussed what type
of piston to install and settled on H582P. There is $505.22 charge for
"engine kit". Grind crankshaft $80, hot tank $75, rebore and hone $120,
set spring press (?) $125. Total cost was $1528 in 2005. Don gave me
a good deal.
