As I'm disassembling my 72 Mach 1 I noticed that the radiator support has an area at the bottom where the rust has eaten through.  The rest of the support is definitely rusty, but looks like it could be blasted and then repainted.  Given the rust damage that exists, would it be better to replace the support or should I attempt the repair?

Here is a pic:

I would poke around in other areas first before deciding

You are probably going to have to replace the RH inner panel under the battery along with the reinforcement under it that has the nuts for the battery box to bolt to. The reinforcement is on ebay but sells out quick when he does have them. I would replace the radiator support when you do the battery area. Rust will never stop.

I always tell everyone to never wash these cars with hose, car wash or pressure washer unless you have been in mud bog race, lol. You just feed the rust in all the wrong places, cowl, inner doors rockers, tail lights etc. Just use bucket of clean water and micro fiber towels and wipe clean.
