Restore road lamps in grille

A good friend had a set that he traded me for some chrome that he needed. I always thought that these were "chrome bezels" inset into the grille. They have great cases and beautiful lenses. I've inspected cleaned and no sign they were ever chrome.

So I'm at a car show today... found a product FINISH 1

So these pieces are PLASTIC. The pearl silver sample is a CLOSE match to my hood paint. THEN I got the idea I could use it to restore the instrument cluster and some detailing on the dash where it had "pretend" plastic chrome. The theory is I have a very nice look and lower the replacement cost???

Okay guys chime in ... not gonna hurt my feelings.

FOR WHAT ITS WORTH.. THE LOCAL NAPA STORE HERE IS SELLING THE FINISH 1 PRODUCTS. I HAVE USED SOME OF THE REDUCERS AND HARDNERS AND SOME CLEAR, SO FAR I HAVE NO REGRETS. THE PRODUCTS HAVE WORKED WELL. I HAVENT USED THE CLEAR ON A VEHICLE WANTING SHOW QUALITY FINISH, BUT FOR THE EVERYDAY DRIVER IT HAS WORKED WELL.

Thanks guys I appeciate the feedback. MrMach helped me on these. I didn't have any and he had an extra set. so I'm going to work on those puppies and give her a shot. The good news is I've got the perfect place to take them if I mess up. MrMach also turned me onto the painter that does very nice work and has painted both our cars. He'll fix what I may mess up.... LOL
