A good friend had a set that he traded me for some chrome that he needed. I always thought that these were "chrome bezels" inset into the grille. They have great cases and beautiful lenses. I've inspected cleaned and no sign they were ever chrome.

So I'm at a car show today... found a product FINISH 1
Automotive Refinish Products by Planet Color. So my silver trim on the sides, valances and hood are "PEARL SILVER" http://www.partsandpeople.com/img/user_library/July-08/PR-ACME-Family.jpg

So these pieces are PLASTIC. The pearl silver sample is a CLOSE match to my hood paint. THEN I got the idea I could use it to restore the instrument cluster and some detailing on the dash where it had "pretend" plastic chrome. The theory is I have a very nice look and lower the replacement cost???
Okay guys chime in ... not gonna hurt my feelings.
