Is there any difference between 72-73 motor mounts? I am installing a 302 engine out of a 73 into a 72. The 73 mounts are new and I want to reuse them.

Thereis a difference, but I doubt it would be a problem. Just in case though I removed one off of the 72 motor as it too was in good shape. so I have the proper mounts

I believe the Engine Mounts on a 73 are the capture style and a 72 and older are not.

The mounts will work but you may not win any concoarse awards for it.

73 mounts are unique and are not compatible with the 72-earlier frame stands.

73 frame brackets must be used with 73 motor mounts only.
You can use 71-72 frame brackets and motor mounts in a 73 as long as you change both mounts and brackets.
