My Car
2011 Mustang GT
As discussed in another thread, I feel as though the time has come in my life to move on :(

For personal reasons, as well as practical reasons like time and money, I've decided to try and sell the complete project. If you don't know by now what it is, here's the build thread: http://www.7173mustangs.com/showthread.php?tid=4407

Included with the sale will be the car, and ALL the parts I've acquired for it. Most notably the engine/trans, suspension and brakes from a '00 GT with all of the necessary wiring and computer to make it all work. Also included is a bunch of extra '71-'73 parts some of which will be needed and some of which may not, as well as most of the interior from both cars. I've also decided to include approximately $1500-$2000 worth of paint materials I have as well. Including, enough etch primer to finish the car, a gallon of primer surfacer, 2 gallons of clear coat, and enough either black or bright coarse silver (there was a time I was planning on silver then changed my mind to go all black) to paint the body. All the paint materials are top quality PPG products. The car is currently listed on eBay and can be viewed here: http://bit.ly/1aR59Sq

I'd be willing to entertain other reasonable offers as well. Please feel free to PM me with any such offers or questions about the car.

This is a difficult decision for me, but one that I believe in the long run will turn out to have been the right one. I know for sure if it goes to someone from this site it will be going to a good home!

A thought-If there is a good restoration/hot rod shop nearby, you might be able to cut a deal for them to finish the car and sell it for you. Incomplete you will take a bath, but if they can finish it for you and they make a little extra by waiting for the car to sell, you might come out better.

I still hate to see you give up on your project after so much of the nasty hard work has been completed.

I really wish I had 10,500 bucks right now... my wife would probably kill me though.

I am sad to see her go, but I hope someone on the forum can purchase her so we get to see her completed, where the hell is Overhaulin' when you need it?! I think I speak for everyone here when I say I feel like we have been a part of the build up to this point and have been both inspired and motivated by your talent and ideas.

+1 Sad to hear it, but your life is your life. You have my respect and best wishes for a sale that make things better for you. Stay in touch, brother.

Thanks for the kind words! I will definitely stay active on the site! At the moment my plan is to hopefully end up with a later model Mustang that will end serving as a daily driver that I can tinker with here and there. Although not a 71-73 I'll stick around and continue to follow other builds. There's just way too many other things going on in my life at the moment to have the time or money for this project. As much as I never thought I'd say it, it's time to move on :(

Im sorry to hear of your decision to sell your current project, I have enjoyed following your work. I hope you get out of it what you need to financially when you sell it.

Somewhat selfishly I am sorry to hear your decision but I understand. A project like that can easily become overwhelming. Best wishes on the sale and on your new projects. I'm glad to hear you'll be staying active here.

I read you post but couldn't believe what I was reading. You've done so much with it! Wow.

Best of luck with the sale. Someone is going to get a great!! car to finish. I'm glad to hear you will be sticking around on here.

I was considering it..Buying to finish & sell..After crunching the numbers..Just not a project that would be profitable..so from that aspect it's a bust..I'd have to buy the car cheaper..I'm estimating a sale at maybe 25-35 finished given the market RIGHT NOW (market sucks for coupes) that could change though..I've seen the car in person & O has done an amazing job with it, his craftsmanship is dead on there's not many people around with his talent ,plus it was super clean to start with..I may still consider it, waiting to see how the auction go's...O you may hear from me..Any body want to chime in as to what you'd pay for it completely finished ?

Great to see you interested Scott. I really hope you are successful and acquire the car. Obsidian71 - I think Scott would definitely finish your car right.

If I had the coins I would be interested in the finished product!

 >>>>>>>>> That car would be a great showcase vehicle for a serious SEMA attending manufacturer/distributor!

Well, I shot for the stars and came out empty handed. I don't really want to go too much lower on the price, but realistically speaking I think I'm gonna have to. If anyone has any offers in mind PM me. Even if they're lowball offers, there's always room for negotiation and perhaps we can meet somewhere in the middle. Everything is packed up and ready to go.
