This is a Great Deal, and I'm just around the corner from "O", but my $$ is tied up right now

Well untie it and buy itThis is a Great Deal, and I'm just around the corner from "O", but my $$ is tied up right now
Well, I have a buyer and a deposit. This is a very bitter-sweet thing for me. I hate to see it go, but at the same time I know that it's time. On the plus side I have an '11 GT lined up that I think I'm gonna pick up either this weekend or next. It won't have the "personality" of my '71, but in time I'll do things to it to make it "mine".
One of the nice things about the sale is that the guy buying it seems to be a really nice guy, and he and his son are going to work on it together. With deals like this it's always nice to know the car is going to a good home. I will suggest he join this forum and keep the build updated so hopefully we can still watch it get finished.
In the meantime, I surely won't be going anywhere as far as this site is concerned! This site has the absolute best group of people I've ever run into on a forum! I mean, where else do you know of that a member would PM you and tell you he'd like to put together a fund raiser on the site to help complete your car if in fact money was the main reason you were looking to sell!!! That's the stuff this site is built on, and for that I say keep it up, and most of all thanks!!!!
Mike
Very good newsBe on the lookout for a continuation of the SN71 thread, or a new one picking up where I left off. I sent the guy I sold my car to a link to the site. He's not actually picking the car up from my house for a few weeks, but he'll probably be poking around here sooner. I made sure to tell him it's the best forum site he'll ever be on
I'm gonna call it 'bitter-sweet'. I know it's the right choice right now for me, but there's a lot of history there, both good and bad.It sounds like its going to be a sad day for you watching it go after 20 yrs
