SOLVED!!!Speedometer cable UPDATE and help

The speedometer gear is in the transmission tailshaft housing on the drivers side of the car towards the top. Look for where the cable goes into the transmission, loosen the 10mm bolt holding the speedometer gear retainer on and pull back on the cable, the gear and cable should pull right out of the tailshaft housing.

pulled the gear and it was an 18t piece.. picked up a 19t gear and all is right with my speed..
