There is an "unidentified" steel tube, that is on the firewall, that looks like it goes back to the fuel tank. Why? There is no fuel return line on a carbureted car...Or is it a vent? IDK, either what it is, or what it does. Do I need to be concerned with it? I finally got new belts on the engine, and have the complete diagram and wiring for the Ford Duraspark ignition conversion. Should be a good running car!

The carbon canister is designed to collect gas tank vapor and store it until the engine starts, they are then sucked into the air cleaner and burned off through the carb.
