my 1971 grande inner and outer tie rod ends did NOT come with grease zerks from factory. i look, and look, and look... but i am not finding anyone that makes tie rod ends without the zerks. does anyone out there make these tie rod ends without the zerks for an original oem factory look ? or even possibly rebuild my originals ? factory look is a must.

If you want a factory look, then you'll need factory parts. If yours aren't loose or sloppy, refinish them to factory look and run them.

If they are worn, then good used or NOS will be in order...

Factory numbers are:

Outer - D0OZ-3A130-B

Inner - D1ZZ-3A131-A

Sleeve - C2AA-3310-B

after listening to advise.... i am working toward restoring my originals. instead of replacing. although i will be installing new dust boots and idler arm bushings. of which leads me to a new question..... regarding idler arm. i have easily found a new bushing (D5DZ-3358-A) that connects idler arm to center link end. i am finding kinda iffy info that both bushings (upper and lower) are the same. it looks to me that the upper bushing is a little longer than the lower one. although i am finding some info that says they are the same. what do you know ?

Second picture, at least they have outers without grease fittings

Maybe you can look Mevotech up, see if they have inners someplace else, or on their website.
i called mevotech.... they dont make the inner w/o zerk. in any case i am currently on the path to refinishing my originals instead of replacing them. after reviewing advise here and elsewhere, i think that will be best for me. preferred as well.

what do you know about idler arm bushings. i have found the bushing that connects to center link D5DZ-3358-A. but what about the bushing that connects the bracket to idler arm ? i would love that number. my book doesnt show it.

I rebuilt my original idler arm as the replacements and reproductions were all incorrect at the time. I used TRW bushings and at the time, they went together no issue. One member here rebuilt his and had some issues but did get it together.

The Ford MPC list the following bushings-

Lower - C5AZ-3358-A

Upper is listed as not replaceable, but it can be. From what I've found, C5ZZ 3356-A is the correct bushing.

i happen to already have a lower bushing for idler arm. atleast i thought that i did. it has a slightly different number from what you had listed. mine is D5DZ-3358-A. you had listed it as C5AZ-3358-A. i can go ahead and get the one that you listed. i just wonder if you know difference off hand. application wise. they seem identical to me, other than the numbers are off. perhaps mine is for a 1970 stang. while mine is 71'. i do thank you for all of your input. you have been quite helpfull. i appreciate that.

Moog K8103 shows as a replacement for C5AZ-3358-A and the D5DZ unit, so you should be good to go.
