As I was welding the subframe connector I noticed that part of my torque box does not appear original. Please look at the weld blob between the torque box and the front frame rail. It does not look factory in either side. The panel coming from above on the first picture (driver's side) that looks repainted is part of the floor repairs I am working on now. How is it supposed to look from factory? Is it plug welded?

Thanks.

I seen the same thing on my 73, thought nothing of it, It did not look factory so I just grinded it off and put down a good weld.

That vertical 'face' panel doesn't look like mine. Mine's a 72, and I'm pretty sure is still as Dearborn put it together. I am seeing a big difference in where your primary or front e-brake cable is routed. See the pic, it should go on top of the torque box and under the toe board, and come up through an oval hole in the toe board. I may be wrong as I am just comparing yours to mine though...

Thank you for the pictures.

The ebrake cable is disassembled in the picture because i just redid the floor. I still have to push it through the floor. Good eye though.
