what year is the mustang?

and is it with or with out tilt wheel?

I believe 71-72 is the same switch, and 73 is a different switch.

Hello eddyw,

You are close. The big grey plug is standard for the 1973 Mustang with either standard or Tilt wheel. One issue I see is the cylinder where the turn signal lever installs is not inserted into the bottom hole. The turn signal lever cylinder I have in my 1973 tilt column is green.

imusa76, it is looks like a standard column.

Hello eddyw,

Ok, I see what you are talking about. Man, there is a difference in the two. So, I had to go look at some new switches and the one in the column does not quite look correct. The one with the two spring loaded prongs close together is the correct switch. The current one mounted is probably for another model of a Ford product in that era.
