I just read that the debris has a footprint of appox. 500 miles long. How can it not hit a populated area? Pretty scary thought eh?Haha! OK guys, as you may have heard on the news, a giant NASA Satellite is in a decaying orbit and will burn up in the atmosphere but some of it is going to survive re entry and hit the Earth! The problem is that no one knows where it will hit! So that sounds like a perfect game of chance for us!
Projected re-entry date is Sept. 23rd, 2011. Here is some more information on the UARS Satellite:
